Just Carrying On An Old Family Tradition
Join us, won’t you, on our cross country Delta flight to sunny California! One window seat, 2 waters, 1 diet coke, a decent movie and 4 biscoff cookies later… we have arrived! For any cross country adventure our advice on the time change is to immediately change you watch to the current time zone and never use the phrase “We’ll its really blah blah time for me,” (we reallllly hate that) unless its directly related to cocktail hour. Deal? Good.
When you travel to weddings arriving a full day early is normally a cool idea because 9 times out of 10 they will have something planned for you: ladies day at the spa, a boys golf outing, or bridesmaids luncheon. But this couple subbed classic tradition for their own family tradition, in the shape of a 3 state team whiffle ball tournament in the resort’s rose garden. It was awesome! Beers, buds, balls and burgers (a bridesmaids dream)…what a dream kickofff to a unique and modern wedding weekend.
Its always cool when people take a minor left turn off “Proper Etiquette Lane”. I mean, it’s their weekend and they can cry if they want to! But, in all honesty, tablespoon of crazy family traditions + a hint of unique beliefs + a dash of Emily Post = a Wonderful Wedding! This wedding was a really cool combo!!
Wiffle ball, live music from some really rad bands, a traditional service, amazing bridesmaids and groomsmen and of course the perfect couple, made for an unforgettable weekend!!
